)Move you car amplifier to a location were there is more air ventilation. Some people mount the car amplifiers under car seats, which can make the amp heat up. I recommend mounting your car amp on the back of your subwoofer enclosure to help heat escape more freely.
)Upgrade your grounding wire to a 2 gauge wire. Thicker wire means less resistance and will help towards keeping your amplifier cool. Also check if your ground connection is touching bare metal, if not get a screwdriver remove the paint. A bad ground can also cause your amp to heat up.
)Check the gain, is it set to high? If yes it can cause the amplifer to cause a clipping signal and could cause overheating problems. issues and cause damage to your speakers.
)Increase the ohm load. The more lower the final ohm impedance is the more hotter your amp will run.
)Use thicker speaker wire.
)Get a 12 volt cooling fan and place it on top of the car amplifer's heat sink. Doing this will sure keep the amp's componets at a cooler temperature.
