If your car radio is not working, the first thing you should always do is check the fuse, the fuse that is for the car radio. A fuse prevents the car radio from getting damaged when a short circuit happens because instead the fuse gets damaged.
To locate the fuse on your car radio, using din tools, remove the car radio from the car's dashboard carefully. The two most common places were a fuse is located on a car radio is, on the back of the radio, or in a fuse holder that is in line with the red power wire. Once you have removed the radio, try to locate were the fuse is, like i said either in line with the red power wire or behind the car radio.
Once you found were the fuse is on your car radio, using a fuse tester, test the fuse to find out if it's blown. If you don't have a fuse tester, point the fuse towards the sunlight and look and the wire insides the fuse. Does it look black and burnt? If it does look like that, the fuse is blown and it will need replacing.
