If you have a memory card that is brand new, you might need to format it so that it works with your Nokia 6300. Formatting a memory card is easy and doesn't take long. If you are using an old one with important files on it is ideal to backup any important content on your computer. That way once the format is completed on your Nokia phone, you can restore all the files by copying back over onto phone.
1) Power on your Nokia 6300 and insert your micro
sd memory card. You will need to remove the back battery cover to access the
slot. It will simply click into place.
2) Go into Gallery.
3) The first option will highlight your memory
card.
4) Press the button on the right to expand the
options.
5) You will see an option that says 'Format Memory
Card'.
6) Enter the option. A message will appear
confirming the formatting of the memory card inserted into your Nokia 6300. If
you have backed everything up, then proceed with the format. It will take a few
seconds.
7) You might have to restart your Nokia 6300 if
it doesn't pick up the formatted memory card right away.
