If you don't want your Nokia phone to ring loudly, you can enable it into the silent mode profile. This can be ideal if you are in a situation where you're not allowed to have it ring out loud. The most common way of enabling silent mode is either by pressing the top power button or through the phones settings. This is very time consuming process to do and is not straightforward. Nokia have created a handy shortcut, which allows you to put your Nokia phone into silent mode very quickly.
1) Ensure that the phones keypad is unlocked. If not press the 'Middle' button and the 'Star' button to unlock.
2) Look at the phones keypad. On the bottom right hand corner, you will see the hash button with a 'Sound' symbol on it.
3) Hold down this button to place the phone into silent mode. Hold it down again to revert it back to the general profile.
