It is ideal to setup your TomTom satnav to display oncoming speed camera symbols and alert you while you're driving. This will make you fully aware that you are approaching a speed camera and a speed limit is in place. This will hopefully make you slow down on certain roads with set speed restrictions and prevent you get speeding tickets from the police. If you see no speed cameras on the map, you will need to manually switch the feature on. You can also connect it to your computer via a USB cable to see if there are any available updates of new registered speed cameras on the database.
1) Look at the top of the satnav. You will see a small 'Power' button in the corner. Hold down this button to switch on the TomTom. You will now see the splash screen appear onscreen and hear the drum start up sound.
2) Once the map has loaded onscreen, tap the 'Middle' area to bring up the main menu.
3) Then go to 'Settings' > 'Sounds & Warnings' > 'Speed Camera Warnings' > 'Fixed Cameras'.
4) Select the 'Enable Alerts' option that allows you to be warned when you approach a speed camera.
5) Then repeatedly press the 'Back' button to return back onto the map screen.
