How To Fix PS1 No Video Picture Signal TV Problem

The grey color Sony PlayStation 1 is now classified as a retro classic gaming console. If you have connected your Sony PS1 Console to your TV and you get no video picture signal try the following tips to help you resolve this kind of problem.

1) Check that your television is tuned into the right AV mode. If you have plugged the AV cable into for example scart 1 then you need to select 'AV1' mode on your TV. To make sure i would suggest you browse through all of the different input modes available as this is a common mistake people make.

2) Ensure that the display cable is connected firmly into both the TV and console. Connectors that are not pushed in all the way can cause these kind of display issues.

3) Ensure that your PlayStation is powering on and is functioning. Have a look if you see the power light come on and hear the disc spinning inside. Dead consoles with a faulty power supply from being stud up so long can cause video problems.

4) Try connecting your PSone console to a different TV in your household. There could be some kind of fault with the television not picking up the video signal from the console. The port on the back of your TV could be damaged or become faulty.

5) Try a different AV multi cable. Sometimes the cable can get bended and pulled around in storage causing the brittle wires inside to get damaged or disconnected. If this is the case you will end up with a black screen, so it is certainly ideal to try a different cable of the same kind to eliminate this.
