If you have connected a car amplifier into your vehicle and it doesn't turn off, even with the key out from the ignition, chances are that you will be left with a dead car battery the next morning. This most of the time happens because you have directly connected the car amplifier to the 12 volt source without the use of a remote wire. Setting it up this way will then allow the car amplifier to turn off when you take the key out of the ignition every time.
1) Look on the car amp were all the connection terminals go. Find the on labeled as 'Remote Turn On'.
2) Insert a blue thin wire into this terminal and tighten it up with a screwdriver.
3) Remove your stereo from the slot. Look on the back of the wiring harness. You will need to find the blue remote turn on lead, it usually labeled with a paper tag.
4) Connect the remote turn on lead from the car amplifier to this wire on the back of the radio. You can use either insulation tape or heat shrink tubing for protecting the connection.
