You might want to delete the memory of the Nintendo DS lite console, if you want all the settings and files as how they would be out of the box, just like you purchased it brand new from a gaming store. Here are the instructions to help you format your Nintendo DS console right away. There is no other way of doing this apart from doing it manually by taking the hardware out.
1) To format the system memory you need to remove the battery pack.
2) Get an appropriate sized screwdriver and remove the screw that is held down on the battery cover.
3) Remove the battery pack and keep it out for a minimum of 30 seconds.
4) Reinsert it back in, along with the cover and the screw.
5) Switch on your console it should display the welcome screen as if its switched on for the very first time.
