The original Microsoft Xbox 360 comes supplied with either a 20GB-60GB or 120GB HDD for the black elite models. You can store your gamer profile onto it, along with your music, videos, game saves and downloaded content. If you have fully utilized the storage capacity on your current hard drive, you can upgrade it to a hard drive that has a larger capacity. In order for you to do this, you must first remove the existing hard drive fitted onto your console. This is very easy for anybody to do, no special fitting tools are required and you don't void your warranty.
1) Hold down the circle power button, to switch off the console. The power button is found in the middle of the consoles faceplate. You are strongly recommend doing this because you can corrupt the data on the hard drive and damage it permanently when removing it.
2) Stand the console upright, so that the hard drive is facing upwards.
3) You will see a small button that you can push down at the top, right next to the bottom of the hard drive. Press the button to release the hard drive from the bay. Then grip the hard drive from both sides to lift it out.
