Installing a PS2 matrix infinity mod chip into your PS2 fat or slimline consoles motherboard will allow you to play back up copies of your current games and launch games from a hard drive. This particular mod chip is tricky to install with so many different fiddly solder points on the PCB. But once installed professionally, it unleashes the full potential of the PlayStation 2 console. When setting up the mod chip, you may need to get into the Matrix infinity BIOS settings to setup it on how you prefer the console to function and what operations you want to enable or disable.
1) Connect a controller to port 1 on the front.
2) Power on the console by pressing the 'Power/Reset' button. The light will turn from red to green.
3) Quickly get to your dualshock 2 game pad and hold down the following buttons together at the same time 'Circle and 'Triangle'.
4) You will see the BIOS screen display on your television.
