How To Remove Sim Card From Nokia 6230i

If you have an unlocked Nokia 6230i mobile phone, you can insert a sim card from any network provider and it will accept it. If your mobile phone is not unlocked, you can use an online unlocking service to provide you with a working code to unlock it. If you want to insert your new sim card into your Nokia 6230i, you will need to remove the current sim card first. Please be fully aware that this phone only supports a 2G GSM signal, so no 3G compatible sim card will work. Since this mobile phone is outdated, you don't need any special removal tools like you do with an iphone.

1) Locate the power button at the top of the device and hold it down to switch it off.

2) The back battery cover will have a push in tab placed at the very bottom. Push this tab in and push the fascia upwards.

3) Remove the BL5C battery pack by inserting your finger nail into the bottom and pry it outwards.

4) You will see a silver color metal sim card door. Using your finger nail, push it upwards to detach it from the phone.

5) Tap the phone onto your hand to remove the existing sim card. Then obtain your new replacement sim card, with the gold contacts facing down place it onto the pins.

6) Close the sim card door by pushing it back into place. It will click in place locking it and hold it securely down, preventing it from any further movement. Ensure that you have fully pushed it in place, if it is loose you will get the 'Registration Failed' option.
